Words and Wine

The English Graduate Student Association at LSU continues to bring language and liquor together at Chelsea's Cafe in Baton Rouge. On Wednesday, November 15th, three writers who recently completed the Creative Writing Master of Fine Arts Program at LSU read fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. Anna Hirsch offered the crowd a smattering of literature, from high school poems to an excerpt of her novel in progress. Tom Moran shared an inter-state tale of friendship: two men bound by their love of books, whiskey, and women. I, Colleen Fava, embarrassed myself yet again with melodramatic verse filled with fears of commitment.

The reading series happens once a month, usually the third thursday of the month. Stay tuned for announcements regarding the December reading.
